Manpower Planning and Professional Development for NSS Curriculum

Liberal Studies
All teaching staff is prioritized into 3 groups in attending NSS Liberal Studies professional development courses.  9 teachers have completed the core training course on the "Understanding and Interpretation of NSS Liberal Studies Curriculum".  Teachers in the first priority group (8 teachers) are deployed in phases to teach S1-S3 CV & LS for the adaptation to the paradigm shift in the teaching pedagogy.

Other Learning Experience
6 teachers have completed the course on the Curriculum Leadership and Management Series for NSS - OLE & SLP.

Implementation of Life-wide Learning Programmes 

Life-wide learning programmes have been effectively implemented at junior levels in preparation for the Other Learning Experience in the NSS curriculum.  Project-based learning is effectively incorporated into S1 and S3 curriculum so that students will be well-equipped for the future Independent Enquiry Studies.  Service learning which aims at developing students' positive values and empathy is implemented in S2 curriculum.
 
Implementation of e-Folio system
 
An e-Folio system which helps to keep record of essential learning experiences is implemented in S1, S2 and S3.

Curriculum Planning

The NSS curriculum structure has been well-planned. Apart from the 4 compulsory subjects (Chinese Language, English Language, Mathematics and Liberal Studies), all classes will be offered 3 electives (3X).

Each student at senior secondary level can choose one elective subject from each of the following subject time block.
